Tweenbots are human-dependent robots that navigate the city with the help of pedestrians they encounter. Rolling at a constant speed, in a straight line, Tweenbots have a destination displayed on a flag, and rely on people they meet to read this flag and to aim them in the right direction to reach their goal.

The results were unexpected. Over the course of the following months, throughout numerous missions, the Tweenbots were successful in rolling from their start point to their far-away destination assisted only by strangers. Every time the robot got caught under a park bench, ground futilely against a curb, or became trapped in a pothole, some passerby would always rescue it and send it toward its goal. Never once was a Tweenbot lost or damaged. Often, people would ignore the instructions to aim the Tweenbot in the “right” direction, if that direction meant sending the robot into a perilous situation. One man turned the robot back in the direction from which it had just come, saying out loud to the Tweenbot, “You can’t go that way, it’s toward the road.”

If you've been watching you already know she's big on Talent and is about as humble a human in realty TV world could possibly be. The Economist has a pretty strong heritage of doing great work. There are some people that would say this new site using a technique called Papervision is an extension of great work. But I think it's terrible. Just because you can do something in the interactive space with cool technology doesn't mean you should.

The Economist is fairly impenetrable at the best of times, to get new readers I would have thought the best strategy would be to make it easier to see content not harder.

A big ugly case of style over content. Nil Points as they say in the Eurovision Song Contest.

The subway is indeed a modern marvel. Some how with the fare hike, ad revenue coming off the outside of cars and the selling of the sacred Atlantic-Pacific name to a bank for English people, the goddamned thing still can't run right. Also the fare hike hasn't kept the bums off. Mr. Sweat is a huge fan of "Opportunity Camps" for our less productive fellow citizens. Judge Smails famously said, "The world needs ditch diggers." I agree and I think we can find them all sleeping/eating/shouting/taking up more than their share of space on the subway. Nothing like forced labor to teach people how to act right. But while this is a tad fascist and probably years down the tracks, there is hope. Buy an expensive computer phone and you can minimize your time around the lesser commuters.

I was thinking about getting a tattoo of the outlines of Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin with a badger, a hawk and an angry loon glaring off my shoulder from with the state lines. Underneath, in courier bold would be the words "Upper Mississippi Shakedown." Most drunk people I've consulted think this would be rad and I'm about 30% convinced it's a go, but I've yet to find someone who can draw the picture I have in my mind in as asskickin' a way as it exists up there. Also, this would be permanent and eventually need to explained to Mr. Sweat's mom and future bed friends. Which brings me to this week's out-pointing: Lots of people make mistakes. Some of these people actively choose these mistakes and live with them publicly until they can afford to forget them via skin lasers. And some of these people drink Miller Chill. Wham!

I know I'm kinda late in the game, but I jjust watched the first season of Tim & Eric last weekend and it's well, pretty awesome. Great job.

Not sure how proud of this one I will be but got roped into parading
around town in crazy costumes last week as part of my friend Trevor's
